Hebert 19th Mule Named First Team All-American
WACO, Texas (Dec. 6, 2017) – Mules Tight End Seth Hebertjoined elite UCM company this morning when the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) released their All-American Team. Hebert becomes just the 19th First Team All-American in school history and the second at the tight end position.
Hebert, a junior from St. Louis, Mo., is the first Mule to be named a First Team All-American since Running Back Lavance Taylor in 2014. David Cannon was the only other Mule Tight End to be a First Team All-American, doing so in 2011.
This season over 11 games, Hebert amassed 34 catches for 573 yards and five touchdowns. He had a season long reception of 61 yards, and averaged 52.1 yards per game. Hebert put up career numbers against Washburn, grabbing five passes for 104 yards and two touchdowns.
In addition to being named an All-American, Hebert was also chosen First Team All-MIAA for the first time in his career. It was his second career All-MIAA nod.
Hebert’s 573 yards were 13th in the MIAA and led all tight ends. He also led tight ends in touchdowns with five, and yards per catch at 16.9. His 16.9 yards per catch was ninth overall in the MIAA.
