2013 Olde Glory Days Parade on June 29
Welcome to the 2013 Edition of the Olde Glory Days Grand Parade. It’s time to start planning your entry! The theme this year is “Proud to be American!” All civic groups, organizations, churches, businesses, class reunions and families are invited to participate in the Grand Parade.
The parade will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 29.

The Henry County Library announces the beginning of the 2013 Summer Reading Program at the Clinton Library and the Lenora Blackmore Branch in Windsor.  The program will begin June 3 and end August 3.  This year’s theme is “Dig into READING!” There are three levels of participation for listeners, readers and young adults.

SEDALIA—State Fair Community College will offer a National Rifle Association (NRA)-certified Basic Pistol course on Sunday, June 23.

Summer Safe Sitter Classes


Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare is now taking registrations for the internationally recognized Safe Sitter Program. The program is designed for 11-13 year old girls and boys.
Classes are scheduled for Tuesday, June 18 and Tuesday, June 25. The class is a one-day Safe Sitter Basic Class held at the Clinton Community Center from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Saturday May 4th, The Walk to End Alzheimer’s was held. The surprise May weather made the plans change and we held it at Missouri Cinema 6. Despite the wind, cold and rain, participants and sponsors gathered to honor and remember those loved ones affected by Alzheimer’s disease.
