The Clinton Cardinals defeated the Holden Eagles yesterday evening for the Class 3 District 13 title by a score of 5-1. 5/18-Royals Roster Moves



Left-hander Everett Teaford and right-hander Louis Coleman returned from Class AAA Omaha after right-handers Vin Mazzaro and Nate Adcock were optioned to the same club.
 
The moves provide the bullpen with a rested long man in Teaford, who could also be in line for a start this weekend against Arizona. Coleman is also capable of pitching multiple innings.

5/17-CHS Baseball Vies for Championship Tonight


The top-seeded Clinton Cardinals will play for the Class 3, District 12 Baseball Tournament this afternoon against Holden at Wagner Field in Clinton.

5/17-Mules Baseball Begins Regionals Today



• The No. 5-ranked Mules take on St. Edward’s in the first round of the NCAA-II South Central Regional on Thursday.

The Mules are 44-7 on the season after beating Fort Hays State to claim their third straight MIAA Tournament Championship.

5/16-Chiefs Sign Former MU Standout




Former Missouri Tigers star tight end Martin Rucker tried out for the Chiefs this past weekend at the team’s rookie camp. Apparently, the Chiefs liked what they saw.

 

The Chiefs told Rucker Monday afternoon they wanted to sign him. So Rucker left his home in Dallas, Texas and flew straight back to Kansas City.

 The Clinton Cardinals the #1 seed in Class 3 District 13 defeated the #4 seed the Warsaw Wildcats last night by a score of 10-5 at home.

University of Missouri quarterback Corbin Berkstresser was taken into custody early Tuesday morning on suspicion of leaving the scene of an accident.
