1/18-The Ballot is Set for April



If you want to run for a seat on Clinton's City Council or the Clinton School Board, you're too late. Time has run out as filing ended at the close of the business day Tuesday.
 
Filing for these positions started in mid-December and election day is set for April 3rd.
 
For City Council, there were six people who filed.
 
Alice Cameron has filed in the first ward, as did Debbie Smith. Brenda D'Aunoy in the second ward along with Carla Moberly. Current councilperson Carlene Lowe in the third ward and current councilperson Sharon Gilkey in the fourth ward.

Current Councilmen Mick Stratton in the first ward and Rick Nichols in the second ward did not file.

 
Richard T. Nichols has also filed for City Attorney.
 
 
 
As far as school board, current board members who have filed include Dr. Brad Townsend and Susan Jones-Hard. Dr. Rob Wetzel, Jackie Beckner Cook, Stan Plough Jr. and Eric Mitchell have also filed for school board.
 
Voters will elect two out of these six for a seat on the Clinton School Board of Education.
